high: the realized self—x: an increasing exponential

There is a photo of me and my Love – the background on my phone. Though she is thoroughly beautiful, the truth is, my favorite thing about the photo is how well-adapted and  happy I look.

I like the me, with her.

As I release the intensity that normally comes along with my effort, I am liking that me, a lot, and how easeful I am in that photo.

Today, I did some doodling and scribbling, using my tablet. I come from an era where my first career love – Graphic Design, employed more hand-drawn, and hand-made elements. My drawing tablet, though a digital tablet, connects me to the joy I found in design, so I do that once a week now – draw something.

This weekend, I built a compost bin, using recycled and palette wood. It has a transparent laminate roof and a slide door at the bottom for removing finished compost.

Three weeks ago, I built a planter for flowers, and to feature the lovely bougainvillea, of course.

I consistently build my body.

More than any of these finished products themselves, I like the me that did them.the me that did them.
